Summary:

The primary role of the Development Center Director is to act as a liaison between Development Center ministries and Literacy & Evangelism Intl. [LEI].    The Director will be responsible  for the direction and coordination of building operations including support services and facilities.  This position will also create and foster a hospitable environment for the tenants to meet their needs according to their lease while recognizing their place as a ministry.

This position reports directly to the CEO.  

This is a self-funded or volunteer position that resides in the Tulsa area.

Job Summary: 

The primary role of the Development Center Director is to act as a liaison between Development Center ministries and Literacy & Evangelism Intl. [LEI].    The Director will be responsible  for the direction and coordination of building operations including support services and facilities.  This position will also create and foster a hospitable environment for the tenants to meet their needs according to their lease while recognizing their place as a ministry.

This position reports directly to the CEO.  

This is a self-funded or volunteer position.

Essential Job Functions:  

  • Actively demonstrates LEI’s biblically rooted and Christ-centered values.  Agree to the LEI Statement of Faith and Covenant Commitment.   Participate in 1st Thursday corporate prayer [encouraged]. 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility including but not limited to:
    • Conduct a bi-monthly walk through for building condition
    • Collect monthly rent from tenants
    • Calendar requests for common area spaces
    • Communicate with tenants regarding building closures and other impacts to their operations
    • Receive building needs from tenants including but not limited to: 
      • Building access
      • Maintenance repairs
      • Questions and concerns
  • Prepare and submit all deposits and purchase/payment requests to LEI Office Manager.  
  • Work closely with CEO to coordinate building needs including but not limited to:
    • Access control codes and key needs for tenants
    • Maintenance and landscape improvements and repairs
    • Parking lot and sidewalk clearance
    • Janitorial services/contract as well as paper product stocked for tenants
    • Security contract and requests
  • Work closely with the CFO to keep the LEI apprised of operational agenda items.
  • Consider any long-term capital needs and submit those to the CFO
