Relational skills to develop a culture in support of development. Believe that a fully-funded staff is more effective in ministry. Believe that support raising is an integral aspect of a staff person’s ministry.

Primarily focused on the overall personal fundraising health of all in LEI. Focused on creating an organizational culture as well as systems, training, and development programs that empower all staff to become and stay fully funded.

Support-Raising Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Development or appropriate senior leadership.

Responsibilities and Duties:

I. Support Raising Systems

Creates, maintains and manages the mechanisms by which LEI trains, equips and empowers their staff in effective support raising.

            New staff support-raising training and equipping.

            Current staff’s continued growth and development in support-raising skills, knowledge and effectiveness.

            Guiding and empowering current staff who fall below acceptable support level to get them back to fully funded.

II.  Manage, develop and empower full-time and/or part-time coaches.

            Develop resources as needed.

            Regularly review all staff accounts for staff falling below acceptable funding ranges and help those staff get on a path toward being fully funded.

III.  Support-Raising Culture

            Maintains being an encouraging and insistent voice for quality support raising  throughout LEI.

            Works well with other LEI leaders.

            Develops support-raising priorities for LEI.

            Develops and implements support-raising policies.

            Ensures other LEI leaders are informed, empowered and engaged in enacting support-raising policies throughout LEI.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE CALL: Recognizing the call of God, the Support-Raising Coordinator is expected to keep spiritual and personal health in top condition, be continually mindful of the spiritual and physical needs of family and LEI personnel, and when necessary to work at inconvenient hours.

Term of Service: Initial two-year term basis.  By mutual agreement, this two-year term may be followed by continuing service.  Career desired.
